Adella Barrett is from the James River Watershed of central Virginia. She is pursuing a Master of Divinity through Chicago Theological Seminary.

For Adella’s internship, she is exploring the intersections of herbalism and christian sacrament, specifically looking at rituals of anointing the terminally ill and the dead as part of her exploration of hospice chaplaincy and alternative, eco-centered death mid-wifery.
