Members of all Oregon ELCA congregations are invited to attend a special networking event on the first day of the Oregon Synod Assembly that starts later that same afternoon. This networking event will highlight the efforts of Oregon congregations who have been intentionally engaged in caring for creation for many years as well as some of the exciting new efforts of congregations who have recently gotten more active through their participation in the Care for Creation Training.

Connect with others around our synod who care for God’s good creation.

Share your stories, successes, and growing edges in greening your congregation.

Learn about topics such as:

  • Community Gardens
  • Congregational Environmental Audits
  • Energy Audits for homes and churches
  • Using the tools of organizing to bloster our public witness

This event is being co-sponsored by Lutherans Restoring Creation and EcoFaith Recovery. For those needing lodging for the night before the event, the special synod assembly rate will be available when you book your reservations by the deadline indicated by the Oregon Synod.

Please use the “Contact Us” form on this website if you have other questions.

Whether you are new to care for creation or have been on the cutting edge, come and learn from each other, share what you know and get energized and revitalized to care for God’s creation. We look forward to gathering with you and all who are interested in letting God grow a deeper network among us and capacity within us to care for creation!
