Training in Postcard Writing to Voter Suppression States

Sunday, May 19

1:00 – 2:30 pm (4 – 5:30 EDT) on Zoom

EcoFaith Recovery invites you to organize your communities to send postcards or texts to voters through “Reclaim our Vote,” a grassroots, 501(c)(3) primarily volunteer-run campaign that is part of the Center for Common Ground. “Reclaim Our Vote” focuses on increasing BIPOC voter election turnout through post-carding, texting, and phone banking to voter suppression states.

Register to join us on May 19 at 1:00 pm as founder Andrea Miller shares her story about what personally motivated her to found this initiative, why voter suppression is such an important issue today, why people of faith should care about this issue, and how “Reclaim our Vote” is effectively engaging voters of color. Andrea Mills is the Founding Board Member for the Center for Common Ground, Executive Director of People Demanding Action, Founding President of the National Women’s Political Caucus of Virginia. She has expertise in voting rights, climate justice, and the Equal Rights Amendment. She has successfully advocated for legislation on both the Federal and State levels. In 2008 she was the Democratic nominee for the Virginia 4th Congressional district.
