Ched will activate our imaginations with his biblical and theological work on economics and ecology, while Matt will activate our imaginations about what discipleship might look like in light of Ched’s insights and our local context.

Ched Myers is a biblical scholar, popular educator, activist theologian, author, organizer and advocate who has for 30 years been challenging and supporting Christians to engage in peace and justice work and radical discipleship.  With Bartimaeus Cooperative Ministries he focuses on building capacity for biblical literacy, church renewal and faith-based witness for justice.  You can learn more about Ched and his work at chedmyers.org.

Matt Guynn is director of nonviolent social change for the church-based nonprofit On Earth Peace, working with congregations and community groups around the United States to support leadership development for efforts to challenge violence and build reconciliation, drawing especially from the tradition of Kingian nonviolence.  Matt is also a member of the Wilderness Way Community in Portland.
