Seeds for an Eco-Reformation Grants

Participating congregations will send up to six members of their team to a weekend-long EcoFaith institute November 3-5, 2017. Participating team members will join members of other congregational teams in experiencing the depth of EcoFaith’s Practices for Awakening Leadership. Through story telling, song, spiritual grounding, and sabbath, team members will prepare to engage their congregations and communities in an Eco-Reformation project.

Due to a generous grant from the Oregon Synod ELCA bishop, four ELCA Lutheran congregations who apply will have their $2500 congregational registration fee completely covered.

For congregations receiving the Seeds for an Eco-Reformation ELCA Grant, teams will receive:

  • Opportunity for up to six members of their team to attend a weekend-long EcoFaith Institute at a discounted price to experience the depth and the breadth of EcoFaith’s Practices for Awakening leadership
  • 10 sessions, 90 minutes in length of personalized coaching for their team via an online meeting or in person;
  • Engagement with the Practices for Awakening Leadership to aid them in imagining, designing and implementing their Eco-Reformation project in their context;
  • Project coordination, tracking and management via an easy to use online meeting service called Basecamp;
  • Training in how to use the online meeting service (Zoom) and the online project management service (Basecamp) by EcoFaith Recovery’s Administrative Assistant, if desired.

With the grant, each team participant need only pay $128 to cover their own retreat center lodging and meals or request that their congregation cover that cost.
