Through story telling, song, spiritual grounding, and sabbath, Institute participants will prepare to engage their congregations and communities in an Eco-Reformation project. Diving deep into the Practices for Awakening Leadership, participants will learn about and engage with spiritual grounding, relational practices, telling our stories, rhythms of engagement, mentoring and mutual-mentoring, and conscious leadership development. All of this will be infused with the spirit of the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation as we now look to the call for Eco-Reformation in our current time and place.
Many of the Institute participants are part of a Seeds for an Eco-Reformation Grant made available to ELCA church communities. However, the Institute is still open for applications, either by additional members of grant recipient teams or for new teams of any denomination or faith. If your community was not awarded an ELCA grant, you can still participate in the powerful weekend and coaching experience.
This year we are emphasizing engagement with an Eco-Reformation project. This means that those attending the Weekend Institute are encouraged to also participate in 10 coaching sessions with one of our Eco-Reformation coaches, to assist you in creating and implementing your project.

We understand that the cost of the entire program could be prohibitive for some teams, and since we know the power of The Practices and want to welcome as many teams as possible into this counter-cultural experience, we are making it available for teams of at least three to join us for just the Weekend Institute experience. It is important to engage with The Practices within a community in order to sustain ongoing change.
For those teams (of at least 3) who wish to participate in the Weekend Institute experience only, the cost is $288 per person. To learn about mini-grants that cut the cost of attending by over 50%, please visit this page.
